A Web Site for my Practice

There are a growing number of medical practices developing web sites of their own. These can vary from large education or patient information sites to small sites which are a portal for patient information and contact.

Time permitting we will explore in a group discussion some topics including:

Should you communicate with patients via email?
What information should be on a practice web site?
Is the time, effort and money worth the payback?
Intranet versus Internet?
Security & confidentiality.
Secure communications over an insecure network versus insecure communications over a secure network.

If any of you would like to develop your ideas further even to the point of establishing costs and a formal quotation please contact me directly on allan@palmer.net.au or via phone +61 412 375 258, fax +61 7 3350 4671 or palmer.net.au, PO Box 350, Aspley 4034, Queensland, Australia.
